Harmonic Minors

Date for your Diary @ St Mary’s Church:

Sunday 12th September, 10.00 am.

We will be celebrating our Patronal Festival on Sunday 12th September.

As part of our special service that day we want to offer children a 25 minute music ‘master class’ for all ages and abilities led by our internationally renowned Director of Music, Richard Quesnel.  You can check out his website here: https://www.richardquesnelmusic.com/

The class will have a quick warm up, music games and build up to a piece of music which will then feed into the end of the special Patronal Festival Service.

All our families are warmly invited to this service for all ages. There will be celebratory refreshments afterwards. During the service, all children (with or without a parent) will be welcome to join in with this music making which will capture being fun and meaningful all in one!

The Harmonic Minors is a choir for children from local primary and secondary schools. All children are welcome to come along – the choir is open to children Year 4 – Year 8. Our regular rehearsals take place in the church from 6.30-7.30pm during term time. We sing in public at least once a term, sometimes alone and sometimes with the Adult Choir for major services. Participation is free and the choir provides folders and music.
