Junior Choir
St Mary’s Junior Choir recent trip to St Paul’s Cathedral
On Friday 17th October, St Mary’s Church Junior Choir and the Year 5’s visited St Paul’s Cathedral.
The Junior Choir sang as part of the Lunchtime Eucharist and the Year 5’s were invited to join them in singing the responses.
As part of the trip the children had the opportunity to rehearse in Choristers Practice room and were able to rehearse on the Cathedral floor under the Dome an amazing experience for them! Following lunch in the crypt the children were treated to a Cathedral ‘Highlights’ Tour. It was a great day out. We were so proud of our Junior Choir, they sang beautifully accompanied by their peers in Year 5.

St Mary’s Junior Choir
St Mary’s Junior Choir is a choir for children from local primary and secondary schools. All children are welcome to come along – the choir is open to children Year 4 – Year 8. Our regular rehearsals take place in the church Tuesdays from 5.30-6.15pm during term time. We sing in public at least once a term, sometimes alone and sometimes with the Adult Choir for major services. Participation is free and the choir provides folders and music.
