Weddings
If you are reading this page as you are hoping to marry at St Mary’s, warmest congratulations and we would love to support you in this wonderful opportunity.
It may be you are marrying in another parish church and need your banns reading at St Mary’s. Antonia Wainman will organise that for you and you can contact her on tel: 020 4636 9885 or email: weddings.baptisms@parishofputney.co.uk. Antonia works in the Parish Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Marrying in church is as personal, meaningful and spiritual as you want it to be. Churches are special and unique places to get married in – the prayers, promises and the whole service of celebration become part of your marriage, on the day itself and beyond. Getting married is probably the biggest commitment people ever make in their lives and it is wonderful to seek God’s blessing as you start a new phase in your relationship, dedicating yourself to one another in the presence of your friends and family.
If you are a couple planning on entering a civil same sex marriage or civil partnership, we would love to celebrate with you. We are sad that revisited Church rules don’t allow for us to offer a same sex marriage but nevertheless we would be thrilled if you would like to celebrate your marriage/civil partnership with us in a glorious setting and with wonderful prayers, readings, music, commitment and blessings.
St Mary’s also provides the option of holding your wedding reception on site, in the modern Lancaster Room in the Brewer Building attached to the church, with its roof terrace over-looking the Thames and river-side garden for photographs.
