Welcome to our new Parish Assistant

We are extremely pleased to welcome Joshua Harris as our new Parish Assistant!  He will be at services in St Mary’s on 6th September (9.15 am, 10.30 am and 6.00 pm) and then at All Saints’ on 20th September (8.30am and 10.30am). Please do give him a friendly welcome and bear with him as he remembers all of our names!

Josh is moving to London from rural Oxfordshire where his mother is a vicar.  In his words this means his church experience at home is very different  to Putney.  He is excited to be joining and getting to know Putney, the surrounding areas and everyone.

He graduated from the University of Birmingham with an English degree where he took the opportunity to spend a lot of time looking at the relationship between Religion and Literature.

He was very involved in the University chaplaincy and was a Founder in The Inclusive Christian Society.  This is an ecumenical group on campus that aims to welcome and affirm everyone regardless of gender and sexuality so he is particularly thrilled to be joining an  Inclusive Church.

In his spare time he likes reading, and in more normal times enjoys going to the cinema and theatre.  During Lockdown he has been watching classic episodes of Doctor Who and walking his family’s two dogs.

Please hold Joshua in your prayers as he prepares for his move to Putney.

God Bless.
