Lent Course – 20/20 Vision!

20/20 Vision:  Seeing Society and the World more clearly in a New Decade

A Lent Course for 2020 to be held at Putney Methodist Church, Gwendolen Avenue, Putney, SW15 6SN

This course is being jointly hosted by Churches Together in Putney and Roehampton on four Thursday evenings in March.

There will be a light supper followed by a 15-20 minute presentation with questions and discussion, each week will be chaired by a specialist minister and hosted by a different church.

The Programme:

5th March hosted by Putney Methodist Church

“Engaging with gender, sexuality and faith with young people”, presented by the Rev’d Sally Hitchener, Associate Vicar for Ministry, St Martin-in-the-Fields, founder of Diverse Church

12th March hosted by the Parish of Putney

“The importance of an independent judiciary”, presented by His Honour, Judge Jeremy Donne RD QC

19th March hosted by St Margaret’s, Putney

“Putting the urgency back into the climate emergency”, presented by David Murray CAFOD

26th March hosted by Our Lady of Pity and St Simon Stock

“Law and ethics in the Use of Force by States”, presented by a former military lawyer


7:30pm                        Entry and Supper Served

8:00pm                       Welcome and introduction by chair

8:05pm                        Presentation by Speaker followed by questions

9:00pm-9:30pm     Summary by chair, thanks, closing prayer and close of evening
